Join us for our 8th annual fundraising event, Ride to the Rock, on September 26, 2020. Yes, Ride to the Rock is a GO!!! We will have the same great routes as last year with beautiful scenic views of the Foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, but some things will change. Governor McMaster is now allowing sporting events for less than 200 participants and we must practice social distancing and wear masks. We will work hard to make the Ride to the Rock safe for the riders and volunteers. There will be changes at the registration and afterwards at the meal. But you will still be challenging yourself to
complete tough mountain climbs. Sponsored by The Pickens Rotary Club, the ride begins in Pickens and challenges riders with 3 routes to choose from: 40k*, 60K, and 100K rides.
The 2020 ride will start at The Pickens Amphitheater,114 W Main Street, Pickens SC and travel north to Pumpkintown. Then on to the Cherokee Foothills Scenic Highway 11 with beautiful views of Table Rock Mountain. The 60k returns to Pickens thru the Eastatoe Valley. The 100k climbs Highway 178 to the Riverbend Lodge (formerly Red Lion Inn), just north of the Continental Divide in NC and returns to Pickens thru the Eastatoe Valley. The rides are fully supported with SAG vehicles and rest stops.
.
Day of ride registration begins at 8am. We will stagger the start times for each ride to help with social distancing. The 100k will start at 9am, the 60k will start at 9:15 and the 40k will start at 9:30.
A complimentary RIDE TO THE ROCK t-shirt will be included for all pre-registered riders.
*The 40k ride does not go all the way to Table Rock
